Here’s a few suggestions for you, why not experiment with your favorite flavours, just give it all a blitz with a blender for fantastic smoothies.

Tropical Papaya Perfection Smoothie

This is a little tropical indulgence, yet still lovely and nutritious and healthy.

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

  • 1 papaya cut into chunks
  • 100ml plain yogurt
  • 100g pineapple chunks, if you’re using canned make sure the pineapple is in juice not syrup
  • 4 ice cubes, broken a little before blending
  • 1 teaspoon dried coconut milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground flaxseed

Prep

Blitz everything together, add a little juice from the pineapple, if using canned to make a bit smoother if needed.

Very Berry Anytime Smoothie

An effortless delicious fruit-packed smoothie.

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

  • 75g frozen mixed berries
  • 150m semi skimmed milk, you can use  chilled unsweetened almond or rice milk if you like
  • ½ teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Orange and Vanilla Smoothie

A great refreshing smoothie just right for the start of the day, but equally as nice for any time too.

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 100ml plain yogurt
  • 50ml cold orange juice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ice cubes, broken a little before blending

Banana  and Ginger Yogurt Smoothie

Banana with just a hint of ginger is a great satisfying filling wake up call for any busy morning to really get you going.

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

  •  1 banana, sliced
  • 150ml plain yogurt
  • ½ tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon finely grated ginger

Apricot and Mango Smoothie

A speedy smoothie with just a dash of lemon juice to add a tangy splash.

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

  • 75g apricots, any canned apricots should be in juice not syrup
  • 75g mango,  any canned, as above
  • 50ml plain yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ice cubes, broken a little before blending

Strawberry & Kiwi Fruity Smoothie

This a great stay-full smoothie, full of taste and fibre so fantastic for keeping any hunger pangs in control.

 

Ingredients: Makes 1 Smoothie

 

  • 150ml cold apple juice
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 kiwifruit, sliced

5 frozen strawberries
