Stressless Peach & Pecan Crumble
In this fabulous diet useful dessert the peachy and nutty flavours combine for a tasty just right pud, terrific with a spoonful of crème fraiche
Ingredients: Makes two crumbles
- 1 can peach slices or halves in juice
- 25 g plain flour
- 1 tablespoon porridge oats
- 1 tablespoon bran
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon pecans, chopped
- 15g cold butter
- 1 tablespoon dark brown soft sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
Drain the peaches well then place them in a medium or two individual oven proof dishes.
In a bowl rub the butter into the flour with the back of a fork until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the bran, caster sugar and about half the oats, then spread over the peaches. Sprinkle the remaining oats, pecans and brown sugar on top, work the pecans in a little to the crumble mixture so they do not overcook .
Bake in a preheated oven for 20- 30 minutes, delicious hot or cold.
